National University of Laos
The National University of Laos (NUOL) officially established on November 5th, 1996, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Decree No. 50/PM, dated June 9th, 1995 is the country’s full-fledged university. The NUOL was formed by amalgamating existing higher learning institutions which were then operated under different ministries. Currently, the NUOL is comprised of 13 faculties, 2 institutes, 1 central library, 3 centers, 11 offices and 1 gifted school dedicated to students with talented skills and ethnic minorities’ background. The NUOL is set to become a core comprehensive university with high academic training quality provided in the level of regional and international standard, and serving as center of excellence in higher education and research in Laos. The NUOL offers a wide range of academic courses and programs (6 doctoral, 62 master’s and 145 bachelor degree programs). The university has a total number of 1,762 staff (47% female) with its student population of 23,861 (48% female). The NUOL has a record of more than 150 signed MOUs and agreements on academic collaboration and partnership with universities, institutions, agencies, associations, networks and organizations from over 30 countries across the region and the world.
Prince of Songkla University
Prince of Songkla University (PSU) was established in 1967 as the first university in southern Thailand. The original aims of the university were to raise the general education standards and support regional industry and development. Today, PSU is a leading public university, committed to academic excellence, reputable research and innovation. It is one of the nine national research universities and among the top 10 comprehensive universities in Thailand by Quacquarelli Symonds’ ranking. The university is proud of its distinguished record of achievements in teaching, research, development, and services to community. It has contributed significantly to the development of the country and consistently turned out well-qualified graduates of high-professional standing.
PSU is a comprehensive and multi-campus university. It offers four areas of services and operations comprising 1) 158 undergraduate degrees, 1 post-graduate certificates, 107 master degrees, 2 postgraduate-diplomas, and 53 PhD programs 2) Research 3) Academic Services and 4) Cultural preservation.
PSU’s educational philosophy is based on Progressivism, with the aim to develop students in all aspects and prepare them to thrive in their respective societies. Various learner needs, such as problem solving, self-researching processes and taking action inside and outside of the classroom, are considered fundamental to PSU’s “sustainable learning” approach. Athens University of Economics and Business
Athens University of Economics and Business’ (AUEB) vision is to be internationally recognized as a centre of excellence in Economics, Management and Information Sciences and to contribute through its work in order to successfully meet the challenges of science, society and economy of today and tomorrow. AUEB is the first University in Greece that introduced courses on entrepreneurship in its undergraduate studies programmes back in 2003, while today hundreds of students every year attend relevant courses with modern active learning educational methods, such as case studies, simulation business games, business plan competitions etc. Since 2013, in the Department of Management Science and Technology there is a specialization on “E-Business, Innovation and Entrepreneurship” offered to undergraduate students.
Chiang Mai University
Chiang Mai University (CMU) was founded in January 1964, under a Royal Charter granted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. As Thailand’s first provincial university, CMU was established in accordance with the government’s policy and objectives for providing the various regions of the country with centers for academic and occupational education, creating the transfer of multi-faceted research, and providing academic services to the national community in line with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, particularly serving Northern Thailand. Symplexis
Symplexis is a Greek non-for-profit organization that strives to ensure equal opportunities for all through actions and measures that build skills, empower and promote active engagement and participation focusing on the most vulnerable categories of the population and particularly those with fewer opportunities. Symplexis’ mission is to elevate social cohesion through integrated actions and project-based activities that aim at promoting the inclusion of disadvantaged groups at risk of marginalization and exclusion, while promoting and protecting the rights of various types of population groups that face discrimination focusing on the empowerment and support of victims, awareness raising and information sharing at all levels.
Symplexis’ activity builds on user-led approaches and interventions around four main axes of expertise, namely:
The social and economic inclusion of those most in need comprising a wide variety of activities aimed at reducing poverty, preventing marginalisation and promoting the sustainable integration of disadvantaged groups, particularly focusing on Third Country Nationals.
The protection and promotion of human rights through activities and interventions that address the needs of a wide range of discriminated population groups, such as women, children and elderly people, victims of violence and human trafficking, the LGBTQI community, Roma and unaccompanied minors, migrants and asylum seekers/ refugees.
Upskilling, capacity building and empowerment of vulnerable groups with the aim to promote equal access to formal and non-formal education for all and promote lifelong learning focusing on low-skills individuals that face difficulties in (re) the labour market.
Child and youth development through actions and projects designed to reduce youth poverty, promote child protection and stimulate social inclusion and development.
Savannakhet University
inauguration and established on 27th March 2009., the founding ceremony was led by the Prime Minister of Lao P.D.R.
SKU OFFERS: 38 Bachelor degree programs (One international program) and two Master degree programs.
SKU Development is aligned with the socio-economic development strategy of the three provinces (Savannakhet, Khammouane and Bolikhamxay) and some parts of Saravan province. It provides equal access to higher education for both the urban and rural people, in particular, underprivileged people from rural and remote area.

University of Firenze
The University of Florence is one of the most important Italian public universities, featuring 24 departments organised in 5 scientific areas: biomedical, sciences, technologies, social sciences, humanities and education.
